Opera Soirée 2018

Our annual Christmas Soirée was held at Whitgift School Concert Hall at 7.30pm on Sunday 16th Dec, with a slightly different format this year.

Stephen Anthony Brown, who played the title role in this summer’s production of Candide, once again conduct the concert and also was our tenor soloist. He was joined by Charlotte Hoather, Giles Davis, and Tim Baldwin, who were lead principals in Candide, for a potpourri of opera favourites and some festive items in the first half of the programme, with a concert performance of Gilbert & Sullivan’s highly entertaining Trial by Jury in the second half – all accompanied by the very accomplished Caroline Jaya‑Ratnam.
